A little update from me

Running a small business implies a lot of work that people may not see.

Big part of it happens behind the scenes. On social media, we may share part of the process, the final product, but one of the things you may not see are the decisions business owners have to make.

I have faced some changes at Espasa these last months, and after some consideration, checking numbers and seeing what gets interest and what doesn’t, I made some changes that you may have noticed, but I thought it was time just to put it on paper and share them with you.

So here is a little update from what is going to be happening by the rest of 2023 at Espasa Studio.

Workshops

I have stretched myself a bit too thin trying to offer too many different workshops, ideas, etc. these last months.

And despite lots of you have shown interests and joined the workshops - I will be forever thankful!!! - the numbers have been quite low in some of the workshops.

So I decided to reduce the amount of workshops I am doing at Espasa to a 1 workshop a month. Each month will be a different one.

Pour-painting has proved to be very popular, so I will be happy to host another in the next months.

I will continue with the workshop partnerships: a Wine painting workshop will be taking place in September at The Bray, but I still have to confirm a date with them, so if you are interested, please join the waiting list here and I will make sure I will let you know once the date is picked.

Another Coffee painting will take place with Rikkaa from Nordic Walking, so keep an eye out on her page as well ( date TBC).

And also I will be at Guildford Institute in October and December, so if you are based in Guildford, check those out as well on their website here:

https://www.guildford-institute.org.uk

and I will be hosting workshops with the lovely people from Cranleigh Creatives!

Remember that you can always book a private workshop with me for a birthday party, a hen do, or for a creative activity with your friends and family.

I am always happy to tailor it to your needs :)And if there is any special request you would like to make, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

I will be posting the next workshops dates by the end of this month or even sooner if I can!

Products

I just really enjoy creating product at the moment. I am designing new cards and creating lots of jesmonite pieces.

You may have seen them on Instagram or on my website: jesmonite is an eco-friendly resin that has a beautiful feel. These pieces are all hand made by me in my studio. I create trinkets, tea candle holders and pots.

I am also offering made to order peices. You can find the pieces on my online shop, and if there is any that you are interested in particular, you can always get it custom made with the colour of choice.

More autumn designs are coming, so keep your eyes open for updates!

I will be selling all these products during the next summer fairs and markets:

  • Summer Fair Peaslake on Monday 28th of August Bank Holiday,

  • Shere Village Hall on September 24th

  • Cranleigh Village Hall on the 11th of November.

I hope to see you in one of them!

I am actually very excited for the last months of 2023 and I will make sure I share my news and updates with you more often. If you are interested on hearing from me every week, you can sign up for my newsletter here.

Or you can follow me on Instagram and Pinterest.
