Affordable painting supplies: my recommendations
It has been a while I have written a blog post!
I hope I can make this a bit more regular. So during all this time, I managed to try new tools and art supplies, and I thought I would share them with you.
Please note, the links I am sharing today are affiliates links, so if you click or purchase the item, I will get a little commission which will really help my little business, so thank you in advance if you do so :)
I will be sharing ONLY products I like and I have tried and that were within budget. Also, I will be telling why I love them and I kept repeatdly buying them.
Let’s start!
Daler-Rowney Aquafine Texture, Watercolour Paper, Cold Pressed, 300 gsm, 140lb, Pad, Glued 1 Side, A4
This paper has been my go to paper for the last years. I use it for my watercolour paintings and for my workshops.
Canvas for Painting 20X25cm
I have been using this Canvas Panels specially when I want to do a small acrylic painting. I have been using them for my kid painting workshops, as they dry quick and are easy for them to carry.
STARVAST Paint Brushes, 12pcs Artist Paint Brushes Set Fine Pointed Paint Brushes for Acrylic Oil Watercolor Painting-Green
Finding the right brush it is always a bit of a mission, and after hours searching on internet, I found these ones which work very well for acrylic paint.
I totally recommend those, they are a good variety of sizes and they don’t lose any bristles.
INK LAB Acrylic Pouring Paint Kit 18 Colors Acrylic Paint Pre Mixed for Pouring on Canvas
If you have been following Espasa for a while, you may have heard about Pour painting and the workshops I have been hosting in my studio and in Guildford. You may have even joined one! And if not… this is a warning: this technique can be a bit addictive!
Pour painting is a very fun technique, a great mindful exercise to play with colour. I have been using these paints from INK LAB and I am very happy with the results!
By the way, I am hosting Pour painting workshop coming up in July at Guildford Institute, see the details here.
Let me know if you try any of these products and what do you think about them! :)
Happy Painting!
